how to create videos using a green screen

Using a green screen when creating a video will give your videos a much more professional look and also give you the ability to show off their products, diagrams, or more easily put in what is commonly referred to as word pops. You do not need a green screen in order create a lower third. I say lower third I’m simply referring to the lower one third of the screen which typically new stations used to display data or it would pop up and say the person’s name typically lower thirds also don’t stay there forever a lot of times lower verbal pop up and then say what needs to say and then go away.

Here are my top five green screen tips

1. You do not need to have a full body green screen.

Most people that are producing their own videos and are either marketing or trying to promote a certain political view or some type of way religious message. And you know that your videos going to be viewed almost exclusively online. Online viewers do not need to see the lower part of your body. Online viewers do not need to see your shoes. When filming with a green screen, most people should just shoot the top half of a person’s body. When putting a video online remember the video is only going to be at most in full-screen mode 12 inches tall… Maybe? Most of the time if it’s in bed into a website it’s only 3 inches tall and 4 inches wide. In order to connect with the audience they want to be able to see your eyes. If you film in a full body green screen your eyes are the equivalent of one pixel you’re not going to have this same effect of connecting with your audience.

2. When filming with a green screen more light is typically better

the idea is that your computer program whichever one you’re going to be using is going to be keying out the green and so you want your brain to be as green as it can be. Also whatever colors your actor is wearing should pop as well. I think it should go without saying that the actor cannot wear green. Investing in some additional light is a great way to create a higher quality green screen video.

3. Have enough room that your actor isn’t standing with her back directly against the green screen

if an actor is standing too close to the green screen and you have lights pointing directly on them that actors going to create shadows and the shadows will not have time to dissipate or blur. This makes the keying out process a little bit more difficult for your computer. If you’re not running a program like after effects or one that has a lot of different settings to be able to customize the effect. Then you need to make sure that you are doing everything in your power to help your computer produce a high quality video while keying out the background.

4. having a good microphone is essential to creating a good video

I know that we are talking about green screen but I think that it is a good point to make that most people who create videos seem to really not care too much about the audio and yet the audio is one of the most important parts to any good video. If you can’t hear the person, if you can’t hear their enunciation is in their words. Then what good is the video? All the great graphics in the world won’t overcome poor audio. I personally invested around $800 and my wireless microphone. There are much cheaper versions are ways in which you could do this. But is that important.

5. Types of programs that I’ve used in order to key out the background of my Green Screen

I have used iMovie, with the iLife plug-in. This program is great for your beginners… It works well and eliminates the need for tweaking your green screen settings in order to produce great-looking videos. This comes for free with any new purchase Mac. ILife is a extra expansion which must be purchased in order to create green screen videos. If you start taking this to the next level and you have the money to spend I highly recommend getting after effects. In after effects you can crop out the person once you have dropped away the background and move that person or resize that person on your video canvas.

the better the theme the more functionality you’ll have as well as the better the structure of the actual website itself. Also the more customization you’ll be a able to do without being a programmer. it is however a good idea to have or to make some friends who do programming. I personally pay a friend and amount to have him on retainer every single month so that I can call them up and bounce a few ideas off of him and asked him questions and have him help me with some basic coding.

It’s a good idea to learn some basic coding for WordPress and I’ll probably in the future share some of the coding that I have learned. For now I just want to give you one piece of coding which has really helped me to make my websites look much much much more professional. It is how to embed an image into your widgets and/or your headers and make that image clickable.

 

 

A circular that piece of code you’ll see that it says h reference, or href= this means to where the URL is that when someone clicks it that destination will be. Then you’ll see the other piece of code is actually meaning image source and so you plug in the URL they are of your image source which you should load into your media center of WordPress. So once you’ve uploaded the image and word press then you put that URL in between the quotes inside this HTML code.

Now that we’ve covered how to embed an image and your WordPress blog the other thing you’re going to want to know how to do is how to find the exact dimensions of certain spaces in your blog. And when I say blog I really mean website a blog is a website a website is a component of a blog some people want to say blog because they think blog sounds cooler. this term blog really does turn people off or it creates a feeling for most of your average users of not being able to do it. So another huge huge component of my marketing is I use this program called Dragon which allows me to just talk and it writes down everything I’m saying and then it makes blogging way way easier.

the next thing you need to know how to do is you need to know how to find the dimensions of these spaces a try filling with pictures so what I use is Google Chrome. and if you right-click it will give you some options when you want to do is you’re going to want to click on the part that says inspect element.

once you’ve done that you should get this dock attached to the lower part of your browser. This has a whole lot of stuff in it but the one component that you’re the one be looking at justifying the dimensions of certain parts of your website is going to be the part that looks like a magnifying glass.

as you can see me image above by clicking on the blue highlighted magnifying glass and then scrolling or rolling over certain parts of my website it will tell me the dimensions now right now showing you the dimensions of the WordPress dashboard but the same dimensions will be shown on the front another website so for example if you want to know the dimensions of a header or of a widget or something along those lines what you want to do is go to the front page of your website click on the inspect element and then just kind of scroll over and roll over certain parts of your website noted he dimensions it’s very very helpful tool for understanding the dimensions of Islam different images and then you can go ahead and create your own custom images.

If you do not have Photoshop that is another big huge amazing wonderful tool that if you don’t have it I highly highly recommended. It will take a little bit of learning how to use this tool though you will not I guarantee you will not, pick it up just by sitting down and thinking that you get hot use this application is a huge application people have said they do not know where the application stops it has that much depth of functionality. But for anyone serious and building a blog or building your brand online or building a website is a absolute must you absolutely must have Photoshop to help make your images and your banners and all that stuff look the right way.

Sitting down and writing an article every day in order to generate new content for my website or blog became a chore pretty quickly. Then what I discovered was this software application called Dragon and it is a speech dictation software program that allows me to talk to my computer and have my computer write down what I’m saying. That is how I wrote five blog posts today in the past hour or so. Seriously, right now I am talking to my computer. Everything you have read up until this point, even that comma, I have spoke into my computer.

Relevant content is also a plus so if you are person that really knows your shit. But you’re not one to sit down and type on a computer for hour. then I can’t recommend buying this $75 programmer $100 program depending upon where you go to get it any higher. Creating content for a website can be a chore there is no doubt about that. And before websites existed, marketing and creating new content was really a chore. So now that technology has even further improve the EEs of sharing with others your thoughts and opinions on different products and services there is really no reason why anyone can’t manage a good website and put out great content for other people read.

Search engine optimization for WordPress

I use a plug-in called all in one SEO. it is a great plug-in allows you to show Google and Yahoo and Bing all the other search engines your keywords in a little excerpt as well as zero title line. But again all the SEO you can do with out good original content doesn’t matter. The search engines are looking for new original good content. So if you think that you’re just going to copy and paste from Wikipedia or someone else’s website and somehow or another Google is going to like your content and bring it to page 1 I have news for you and that is that you are sorely mistaken.

From now on I don’t think I’ll actually sell a website without selling a person Dragon. This software makes it so that a person really has absolutely no excuse for managing the website and putting out new content. In the time it took me to speak all this onto my website was all of about 10 min. of thus far. Yes I will have to go in and make a few minor changes. But not really. The software is really that damn good.

So far I haven’t edited anything except what I’m going to do is go into my WordPress blog and I’m going to designate heading one heading to heading three on a few of the one sentence title lines that I’ve created.
