Designing a website or video in Fort Lauderdale
It has a lot to do with what you know, and then what you work with. My Dad always says, “Use the right tool for the right job!” That is true with website design and creating great marketing videos. For example, my tools consist of a Mac Pro, with 10 Gigs of Ram, and 4 terra bytes of storage… this is about what it would cost for my computer.
Let’s take a look at the software I use…
Final Cut Pro is one of the best video editing softwares ever created. Cost about 400 dollars, along with Motion 5, and compressor. You’re at about 500 dollars for that. PLUS you are going to want generic scores or audio tracks, filters, effects, and other plugins.
Now I won’t say that I have all of these… but just take a look… each one is almost 100 dollars.
If you are editing video, and you want it to look amazing, and have a real professional look and feel to it. You can’t use just the generic stuff, you need to high end goods. Same with what you shoot your video on.
For example, if you are using a flip cam, or your camera phone… those are both pretty good for a consumer. They work, but if you want high end professional grade videos. You need a good camera.
Having the ability to change lens… and ad a UV filter, that’s how you really get that cinematic effect when you shoot your video, and a camera that can create TRUE 1080P HD video…
Camera Lenses make a HUGE difference in the quality.
I only own a few lenses, but each lens is over 300 dollars.
Now that you have the right Camera, and the right lens. You realize, You need the audio quality to be better… a lot better. So sure, you could get away with a inexpensive mic and it’ll probably sound ok. But for me… I went with a professional grade Mic.
Now some people will say, you’re crazy! Almost $800 dollars for a Mic. But that’s what you got to have if you want great quality audio.
That way I can shoot a building, or walk around with someone as they narrate and I don’t have to be right ontop of them with a mic attached to my camera. I’m wireless. Get solid audio, and great video shots synced up.
For your camera shots, you have to have a variety of different mounts.
a UniPod is great for packing light, allows for stabalization of the shot on the fly. Also great for getting video which looks like it’s on a jib. Sure it’ll be a little shaky, but applying the video stabalization feature in which ever video editing software you are using should help to smooth things out.
Tripods range in price, and here is why. It’s all about the height, and stability of the tripod… AND the head. The point which allows for the swivel of the camera. If you have a cheap tripod it will give you shaky video because the pressure needed to move the position is constantly changing… so you get give and take, and you shots go like this…
ffffff f f ff f f fff ffffff ff f fff ffffff fffffffffff fff f ffff f f f f f f f fff f f f ffffff
so you have motion that is uneven. Using a gas or liquid head, helps keep the motion smooth.
f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f
Now if you plan on shooting while movie… you are going to want a dolly. TRUST me this helps.
The one thing is… if you are shooting in a green screen studio… and want a tripod that is a stable, dead on shot, it doesn’t matter at all about how good your tripod is as long as it gets the job done. HOLD MY CAMERA, and don’t move. So if you are not going to be touching the camera, have a remote or something like that… opt for the less expensive tripod.
GREEN SCREEN studio set up.
A cheap green screen from Amazon.com works just fine. The keyer in Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and whatever else is out these days. For the most part, they are pretty darn good at removing the background IF! IF it’s well lit. Lights is the big thing… you need lighting on your subject, and lights pointed directly on the green screen itself to light it up.
I personally have a few tripod lights for my green screen room.
Well, that’s my list of what I’m doing more or less. I hope this helps you understand that I’m invested in making you quality marketing materials.
