There it is. I believe you first need someone to work with you who is honest. Second you need good prices, no GREAT prices. Third you need to grow in your knowledge through working with your marketing company. Forth you want a marketing company that can handle a number of different projects and do it well. Let’s take a deeper dive into all of these.

1. The goal isn’t just to get paid to build a website and then hold you hostage. I don’t know how some of these web designers were raised or how they stay in business. I’ve talked to so many people who have been charged thousands of dollars on a website which is not worth it at all.

2.  What makes a Great Price? Seriously. I see adds, “I can build a website for 50 bucks”, is like saying you can buy a brand new car for 10 grand. Now is the car a piece of garbage or is it still a nice ride. All i’m saying is, when you negotiate out a price on something as custom or generic depending on how you want to look at it… as a website. You might want to get some kind of reference as to what they mean. 3 pages!?

Our website price is $500 dollars. Little room there to Barter. But let’s talk about what are you getting?

• Website platform – back office and ability to control your own content
• Custom banner image – This one can be a little tricky… It’s probably one of the most out of everything we do. The reason I say that is everyone has a different thought in their head of what looks good. However my graphic designer just like you, has one limited resource and it’s really valuable and that’s time. So we ask give us as much information up front on how you want your banner to look and what colors what’s in it. Because we will have to bill you if we change your banner 2 or more times. Our niche in this arena is nice, clean, corporate looking banner images/ logos.
• SEO – Search Engine Optimization – (This I leave for last but it’s actually step one, before we begin on getting your website to rank, we need to know… rank for what? We do a lot of research even before a domain name is purchased so we have the best chances for success at attracting traffic to the site and driving business)
